sadak kinare do chand sitare,
Suni aankhon se hai jag ko nihare,
Nanhe se haathon mein katore ko thaame,
Maang rahey hai aane-do-aane
Raam-rahim ka woh rahey naam pukare,
Dono ki roti hai jinke sahare..
Sukh kya hota hai...yeh itna bhi na jaane,
Rab ki es mehfil se ab tak hai anjaane,
Jal rahey hai paav, chil-chila rahi dhoop,
inko hi hum kehte hai rab ko ek roop,
Aisa nahi hai inhe koi bhi na jaane,
Aate jaate gujar jaate yun lakhon sayane,
Dekhte hi inko yun bante hai anjaane,
Sadak kinare hai yeh...koi kyon apna maane?
Apne chirag lagey sabko hi pyarey,
par kyon na wo hum ho jo in sitaro ko bhi sawarey...
